The history of the Morgan House dates back to 1923 when John Morgan Dean, a native of Rhode Island, built a large addition to his house located on this site. In doing so, he created what would be known as the Morgan Hotel. For many years, this building has stood as a landmark in Downtown Fort Myers. Why Did the Morgan Cross the Road? Our last day at our old location (2207 First street) will be on June 18th, 2010. That night, we're going to have a HUGE party starting at 4pm till close. Come join us in our celebration as we honor the past and embrace the future. There's going to be drink and food specials all night long with giveaways and door prizes. I even hear that there's going to be Hawian fire jugglers and dancers. It's going to be absolute craziness! So let me reiterate:
